On Thursday, July 11th, Ponta-Cabeça brought traditional Brazilian rhythms and cultures of resistance to "A Summers Day on Civic Street," a block party hosted by Another People Place. Taking place in the newly renovated outdoor space at Glasgow's Civic House, the free, family-friendly afternoon served as a gathering to celebrate community and shared spaces. The event allowed us to connect with the crowd through storytelling, rhythmic experimentation, and collaborative performance, all core elements of Christiano Mere’s artistic practice.

The day featured a supportive atmosphere and a diverse lineup of musical talent. Our set was complemented by Terra Kin's blend of jazz and folk, Kozyeli's hip-hop, and Mark Quinn's mix of underground and global dance sounds. We are grateful to everyone who came out to share this space, dance, and resist with us.
