Ponta-Cabeça invites Instituto Gingas for a series of workshops crossing body, listening and collective imagination. Between 8–10 January 2026, the Din Down Down methodology arrives in Scotland for the first time, offering three days of training dedicated to Expression, Movement and Thought — three dimensions that fold into one another, like a roda.
Developed in Brazil, Din Down Down is a social technology created by Instituto Gingas to make capoeira a radically inclusive space. Rather than focusing on limitation, it begins from the potency of each body, expanding the meanings of presence, gesture and community.
The workshop is aimed at teachers, instructors and leaders of capoeira, as well as artists, educators and movement practitioners interested in inclusive pedagogies and embodied forms of learning.
The workshop takes place in partnership in Glasgow, and also features a complementary workshop, “Olhar de Dentro” (Looking from Within), facilitated by Breno Platas, photographer and long-time Gingas collaborator. Olhar de Dentro's workshop approaches documentation not as an external record, but as an act of presence and participation. The camera becomes an extension of the body that listens, moves, and transforms with the collective.
Through circles, gestures, and shared reflections, the encounter opens space for another kind of pedagogy, one that begins with affection, difference and collective invention.

Ponta-Cabeça invites Instituto Gingas and Breno Platas for Din Down Down: Expression, Movement and Thought — a three-day training (8–10 January 2026, Scotland) in partnership with all Capoeira groups in Scotland. Rooted in Gingas’ inclusive methodology, the workshops explore capoeira as a space of collective invention where every body, gesture and rhythm carries its own form of knowledge. Through movement, dialogue and the Olhar de Dentro (“Looking from Within”) documentation workshop, participants are invited to reimagine expression, accessibility and community as intertwined practices of transformation.
