Corpo que dança com os Orixás

Corpo que dança com os Orixás

When Glasgow Became a Terreiro

On the 10th of June, Glasgow welcoming the griot and Capoeira Angola Mestre, Cláudio Nascimento, for the dance workshop: Corpo que Dança com os Orixás (Body that Dances with the Orixás). It was through shared movement that we all received his blessing to celebrate the natural balanço and rhythm of our bodies. Mestre Cláudio Nascimento made Glasgow his terreiro and us his rhythm. The energy, the movement, and the connection shared during this workshop were a celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture and ancestral knowledge. Viva a cultura popular Brasileira.
