Roda Solidária Mestre Môa do Katendê
In 2018, we lost Mestre Môa to political intolerance. Today, we continue to honour his memory in the fight for a fairer Brazil.
We are now in a very polarised second round of the Brazilian elections. Ahead of the vote on the 25th of October, we need to unite to turn the tide: democracy and social justice are strengthened by our collective action and solidarity, even from afar.
Organised by the Brazilian communities in Glasgow and Edinburgh, the Roda Solidária Mestre Môa do Katendê will take place at GAS in Glasgow on the 17th of October from 3:00 pm. The event will act as a fundraiser in support of community-based initiatives in Brazil that defend our democratic rights on the ground against the rise of the far right across Latin America.
About the donations: All donations will go to grassroots movements to ensure that people living in remote areas are able to exercise their right to vote on the 25th of October, in the second round of the elections.
